Remarks: | Roswell B. Mason was Chief Engineer who built the Illinois Central Railroad, the Dubuque & Pacific Railroad from Dubuque to Dyersville, and the Dunleith & Dubuque Railroad Bridge. Benjamin B. Provost was part of R.B. Mason’s corps of engineers and was responsible for building the ICRR from LaSalle to Dunleith (East Dubuque), Illinois, and took over building the Dubuque & Pacific Railroad, which became the Dubuque & Sioux City Railroad. |
